One young woman took matters into her own hands and created an account on social media for the sole purpose of tracking down her childhood friend and reuniting with her.

The 21-year-old Neha made a profile under the username @finding_lakshita. She also jotted down some information about her acquaintance in the profile's bio.

Neha wrote that she was on a journey to find her "long-long childhood friend" Lakshita. She also mentioned her brother's name and said she had forgotten their surname. She began contacting people on Instagram with the same name as her friend and her perseverance paid off.

Neha updated the account and wrote that she had succeeded in her mission and "finally tracked" her childhood friend down.

Neha recently shared a video of the event on her own profile and wrote in the caption it felt "unreal" to be in touch with her friend after 18 years. She revealed that the two had met in 2006 when they were in lower kindergarten, but after Lakshita moved to Jaipur they lost touch.
