Moderna has assured that its two-dose vaccine generated virus-neutralising antibodies in children.

Kizzmekia Corbett is a 34-years-old immunologist who is part of the NIH team that worked alongside Moderna to create their highly effective vaccine for COVID-19. Corbett joined the NIH’s Vaccine Research Center as a postdoctoral fellow in 2014.

Dr VK Paul, NITI Ayog health member said the Government is making efforts to make Moderna Covid vaccine available in the country and importing it into the country by actively working with the Moderna manufacturers. 

This will be more vaccine doses than any country has actually shared to date, five times more than any other country: Joe Biden.

The trial will be conducted on children older than six months and younger than 12 years of age. Moderna on Tuesday said that they will include about 6,750 children as participants in the trials.
