Watch Ek Thi Begum Season 2: Actor Anuja Sathe is back with the second season of her crime-thriller show Ek This Begum. Season 2 of the web series was recently released and is available for viewing in Hindi and Marathi, like season 1.

In a recent interview, Sathe revealed how the show turns the table on the usually male-dominated genre of mafia and underworld. "Underworld is a theme that was completely visualised around men, male dons. But there were so many women who had the courage to stand up against them and create their own empire in late 80s and early 90s," she said, adding that it was about time for people to know about these women.
Sathe also told The Indian Express that she initially struggle to say her dialogues and fire a gun at the same time. "When you fire, you automatically blink. So my action master taught me some tricks. Initially it was bit clumsy but I managed later." Anuja Sathe further added that she loves to watch action being performed by women actors.
Directed by Sachin Darekar and Vishal Modhave, the show also features actors like Shahab Ali, Chinmay Mandlekar, Vijay Nikam, Ajay Gehi and Hitesh Bhojraj in important roles.
What is Ek Thi Begum about
Ek Thi Begum is about a woman from Aurangabad named Ashraf Bhatkar who is married to a Mumbai based close confidante of a don named Maqsood. When Ashraf's husband is killed by the don for turning on him, she vows to avenge his death by bringing down Maqsood's empire. In her quest, she begins honey trapping her enemies and quietly gathers evidence that could expose the involvement of many politicians with the city's underworld. Upon sensing her plan to bring them down, Ashraf's targets devise a plan to have her killed.

In season 2 viewers will see Ashraf adopted an alias- Leela Paswan, having survived the attempt on her life. Taking matters into her own hands, Ashraf now kills her own enemies in order to bring down Maqsood and his gang. The show is said to be based on "true events" that took place in the city of Mumbai, in the 80s.
