One of the first web series to make an entry to the gallery of Netflix was Little Things, which is produced by Dice Media, a web series arm of Pocket Aces. The show casts Mithila Palkar, Dhruv Sehgal, Aman Bhagat, Navni Parihar and others. The basic plot line of the web series revolves around the moments and emotions of a young urban couple. The show was launched in September 2017 as a 15-minutes episode. The series is comprised of five such episodes. On October 5, 2018, it made a comeback on Netflix with eight 30-minute episodes.
The Kota Factory
Season two of Kota Factory is out on Netflix. What was envisaged as a web series that was released on YouTube, is now a show on Netflix. Both the first and second season can be watched on OTT.
The series revolves around the lives of aspirants slogging in the town of Kota in Rajasthan to crack competitive examinations. Starring Mayur More, Ranjan Raj, Uday Gupta, Jitendra Kumar and Revathi Pillai, the show made its place in the heart of many such aspirants in real life.
Another unique collaboration between the web series and OTT was Hostel Daze. The series starring Nikhil Vijay, Ayushi Gupta, Ahsaas Channa and others. Although the show came out as Amazon original. Each episode spans between 30 and 35 minutes. The show is a Hindi comedy-drama that follows the life of four hostel friends, their college life and being roommates.
Originally a TVF Play, one can watch the web series on a couple of OTT platforms like Netflix and SonyLIV. The show stars Simran Natekar, Parul Gulati, Srishti Shrivastava and Ahsaas Channa. It revolves around the hostel life of a group of girls and unravels the odd friendship between them.
The show explores the lives of three engineering students as they travel the uphill path of dorm life and relationship issues with career aims. It is the time liners web series ruling the would of OTT platforms too. It can be watched on Netflix, Zee5 and SonyLIV. It casts Barkha Singh, Kritika Avasthi and Sejal Kumar.
