Cop feeds old woman, photo goes viral: A picture of a cop feeding poori and sabzi to an old woman was shared by an athlete on Twitter recently. Soon the photograph capturing the policeman's benevolent act went viral on social media earning him immense praise.
On Monday, Paralympian Rinku Hooda shared the picture of a cop feeding poori and sabzi to an elderly woman. The caption he wrote loosely translates to, "This is also a side of the police". He also tagged IPS officers Prahlad Meena, Anirudha Singh, Bhisham Singh, Dipanshu Kabra etc in his tweet. The picture went viral on social media with people showering their love for the policeman. As of now, the tweet has 6k+ likes, 400+ retweets, more than 40 quote tweets and above 90 replies.
Twitter reactions on the viral picture
No sooner did Hooda share the picture than Twitter users started praising the IPS officer for his act of kindness.
A user said, "Salute, may God keep you healthy and safe".
Another user wrote, "Humanitarian initiative brother".
"This should be taught to policemen these days. Nice work there," a user named Jitender Singh Kushwah commented.
A user also pointed out that for humanity, conscience should be alive.
Similar incidences
In April this year, a photo of a cop holding a baby in his arms while the infant's mother cast her vote went viral. The photo was taken at a polling booth in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh.
Then in February, a picture of a lady cop from the same state showing her carrying body of a homeless man began doing rounds on social media. The picture that later went viral featured Sub-inspector Kotturu Sirisha of Kasibugga police, who also helped in performing last rites of the 80-year-old deceased, when no one else came forward.
