TWICE's Momo Breaks Up With Super Junior's Kim Heechul After Dating For More Than A Year

The couple reportedly drifted apart due to busy schedules and thus decided to end the relationship.

Twice Momo break up: Momo Hirai, a member of the K-pop girl group TWICE, has broken up with her boyfriend Kim Heechul, who is a member of the K-pop boy group Super Junior. The news has been confirmed on July 8 both by Momo's agency JYP Entertainment, and Label SJ, which manages Heechul.

Both the agencies stated that they have checked with their respective artists and it is true that they have broken up. The agencies further added that they cannot give any details about the breakup as it is a matter of the artists' private life.

A source claimed that the couple drifted apart due to busy schedules and thus decided to end the relationship. The source also said that Momo and Heechul have returned to being colleagues and having a senior and junior relationship.

Heechul made his debut in 2005 with his group Super Junior while Momo debuted in 2015 in the girl group TWICE.

Momo and Heechul first made their relationship public in January 2020 after denying it previously. They dated each other for about a year and a half before calling it quits.

Momo is a member of the nine-member K-pop girl group TWICE and was last seen in the group's latest mini-album Taste of Love which made history on Billboard by becoming the first mini-album by a K-pop female group to stand at number six in Billboard 200. Before that girl-group BLACKPINK debuted on the list at second position last year with their first full-length album titled "The Album".

TWICE announced its first English Digital Single on June 25 through their official Twitter handle which also hints at the release date of the single. According to the tweet, the digital single will be releasing on a Friday of September this year, however, the exact date has not been made public yet.

The group has also announced the release of their new Japanese album titled Perfect World, which is scheduled to release on July 28 this year.
