Instagram influencer Janae Gagnier was recently found dead at her apartment, in what appears to be a case of murder-suicide. The 33-year-old had more than 2.7 million followers on Instagram. Her sudden passing comes on heels of multiple high-profile deaths of social media celebs in the past few weeks, due to accident, suicide or violence.

Ganier went by the name of Miss Mercedes Morr on Instagram. She had shared her last post on the social networking platform some two weeks ago and it had amassed 108,156 likes. The influencer was followed by celebrities like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Snoop Dogg and Meek Mill.

Here are ten things to know about the death of Janae Gagneir aka Miss Mercedes Morr:

1. Gagnier was found dead after police arrived at her apartment responding to a welfare check call and discovered her body alongside that of a 34-year-old man.

2. The police believe Gagnier's death to be a case of alleged murder-suicide.

3. The suspect was identified as Kevin Alexander Accorto, whose body was also found inside the influencer's apartment.

4. Medical examination found Gagnier's death resulted from strangulation and blunt force trauma, while Accorto's death was ruled as suicide due to multiple sharp force trauma.

5. The police didn't find any signs of forced entry at Gagnier's apartment.

6. However, the investigation has found no relationship between the two as of yet.

7. Gagner's family expressed suspicion to the investigators that she was being stalked by the accused on social media.

8. The police is still investigating what happened prior to the murder-suicide incident.

9. In December last year, the social media community was shocked by death of influencer Alexis Sharkey, whose body was found later nearly three miles away from her home.

10. In February this year, model-turned influencer Rebecca Landrith was found dead near a highway in Pennsylvania, United States. She had been shot multiple times.
