Jacqueline Fernandez's Photo And Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar Sparks Controversy

In picture surfaced online, actor Jacqueline Fernandez is seen posing for a mirror selfie with alleged conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The man is accused in Rs 200 crore extortion case.

According to a report by India Today, the actor had earlier denied dating Chandrasekhar when accused person's lawyer had claimed otherwise. The picture was reportedly taken in the month of April-June this year when Chandrasekhar was out on interim bail. The report stated that a source at Enforcement Directorate claimed that the duo met four times in Chennai and also arranged a private jet for the meetings.
In the said picture, the millionaire conman is seen kissing Fernandez on her cheek while taking a mirror selfie with her. As per reports the iPhone 12 Pro seen in the picture is the same phone Chandrasekhar allegedly carried out the scam using an Israeli SIM card. He was using the same phone in the prison.
Jacqueline Fernandez was questioned last month for nearly seven hours by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Rs 200 crore extortion case. The case also involves Chandrasekhar's wife and actor Leena Maria Paul. Chandrasekhar's lawyer, Anant Malik had earlier told the media, "Jacqueline and Sukesh were dating, these are my instructions, this is straight from the horse's mouth." Reacting to the same, Fernandez's spokesperson releases a statement, "Jacqueline Fernandez is being called to testify as a witness by the ED. She has duly recorded her statements and in future will also be completely co-operating with the agency in the investigations."
"Jacqueline also categorically denies alleged slanderous statements made about her relationship with the involved couple."
In October this year, Chandrasekhar and his wife were arrested by the ED in the extortion case. The case comes under sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Leena Maria Paul and Chandrasekhar were initialy in judicial custody after they were arrested by Delhi Police in the case.

The agency has also arrested Deepak Ramnani and Pradeep Ramdani in the same case. The court in Delhi had accepted the Enforcement Directorate's application to question Paul and Chandrasekhar in Central jail Tihar and if required, arrest them in the money laundering case.
