Harry Potter Star Afshan Azad Shares First Picture Of Newborn Daughter

Afshan Azad daughter: Star of Harry Potter films Afshan Azad is now a proud mom to a baby girl. The actor took to social media to share the news of her daughter's arrival with her fans, also sharing a photograph of the newborn.

"By the Grace of God our Princess is finally here! We’ve been in this ultimate bubble of love and awe of her since she joined us Earth-side last week. God has blessed us with the most perfect, beautiful precious gift," the actor wrote in her Instagram post. Azad also added that she will be missing from social media to recover and rest and "enjoy every single second and moment of this unexplainable feeling but I’m sure I’ll be back soon." The actor also thanked everyone who messaged and checked on her.
Azad announced that she was expecting her first child with husband Nabil Kazi in April this year. "The secrets out everyone – I’m going to be a mummy!!!” she wrote in her pregnancy reveal post, alongside a picture of herself, flaunting her baby bump. Revealing that the baby was expected to arrive in July, Azad wrote, "Both our hearts are filled with love, excitement and nerves! Not long to go, please keep us all in your prayers." Azad is best known for essaying the role of Padma Patil in five films of the Harry Potter series, which are based on books written by author JK Rowling. The actor has since stayed away from limelight, marrying Kazi in 2018.
Azad was in news in 2010, when her brother and father verbally and physically assaulted her for reportedly being in a relationship with a boy of another faith. The Manchester Court had later charged the two accused men with making threats to kill her. Her brother was additionally charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm on his sister. While her father and brother were not found guilty of making threats to her life, the latter was sentenced to six months in prison after pleading guilty to assault charges.
