Virat Kohli Rape Threat Case: A Twitter user named @Criccrazyygirl posted a tweet threatening to rape Indian team skipper Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma’s nine month old daughter Vamika Kohli after the team lost a cricket match against New Zealand two weeks ago. The tweet was deleted later but the screenshot of the tweet was circulated widely.
Mumbai Police Cyber Cell has arrested the man from Hyderabad. The 23-year-old man's name is Ramnagesh Alibathini. He is being brought to Mumbai, said Mumbai police.

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) had also taken cognisance of alleged rape threats sent on Twitter to Vamika Kohli. Calling the incident “shameful,” DCW head Swati Maliwal had demanded the accused be arrested and the commission be intimated of the action taken by November 11.
The notice was issued to the Delhi Police's cyber crime branch. Trolls didn't spare Kohli’s teammate Mohammed Shami also who was trolled for just being Muslim. Kohli supported Shami and even called out the social media users attacking him. Earlier, a similar threat was passed to Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s daughter Ziva during IPL in October last year. According to reports, the man who sent the threat to Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni’s account was a resident of Namna Kapaya village in Kutch district. As per a report, he got very upset when India lost the match and made such disgusting comments in anger.
