Hasan Ali wife trolled: The environment on Twitter turns toxic once again as Hasan Ali and his wife Samiya Arzoo, who is an Indian, are being trolled and given life threats after the Pakistani cricketer dropped a catch last night. Pakistan lost to Australia in the T20 semi-finals on November 11 and many felt Ali's poor fielding played a big role in the loss.
A right-arm fast bowler, Hasan Ali dropped a catch of Australian Cricketer Mathew Wade at a crucial stage in the match while the Australian team was chasing the score set by Pakistan. Australia won the match and social media started pelting hate against Ali. Things spiralled quickly as people started giving threats to both his wife and him.
Cricketer Shoaib Malik and his wife Sania Mirza were trolled as well. However, there were many who also call out the unnecessary targeting of Arzoo and Mirza for a match lost by the entire Pakistani team.

This is not the first time that a cricketer and his family had been targeted by trolls. Recently after the Indian cricket team lost a match against Pakistan and was later ousted from the tournament, skipper Virat Kholi's daughter was allegedly targeted with rape threats. Although the IIT graduate techie from Hyderabad who sent these threats has been arrested.
Even 31-year-old Mohammed Shami was trolled viciously for his religion after team India lost in the T20 world cup in Dubai this year against Pakistan. People alleged that he was a traitor. While a section of social media took to defending Shami and his performance for the team.
Who is Samiya Arzoo?
Samiya Arzoo is a Dubai-based flight engineer with Emirates Airlines, who was born in Haryana, India. Her family is settled in New Delhi. In 2019, the couple got married in Dubai. They met each other while Hasan Ali was in Dubai for a tournament. Hasan Ali became the fourth Pakistani cricketer to marry an Indian after Zaheer Abbas, Shoaib Malik and Mohsin Khan.
