The coronavirus pandemic has brought everything to a hault. The virus has not spared celebrities either. Here is a list of 10 celebrities who have recently battled COVID-19 infection.

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has brought the entire world to a standstill. And while at it, the virus has not spared celebrities either. Many of them caught the infection after resuming their shooting schedules.

Here is a list of 11 celebrities who have recently battled COVID-19 infection.

1.Rakul Preet Singh

On December 22, actor Rakul Preet Singh took to social media to inform fans and followers that she had contracted COVID-19. According to reports, she had been shooting for her upcoming film titled Mayday, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn. The 30-year-old wrote she had quarantined herself and was “feeling fine.” Exactly a week later, she confirmed on social media that she had now tested negative for COVID-19, writing she “can’t wait to start 2021 with good health and positivity.”

2. Neetu Singh

Neetu Singh was all ready to make her comeback with Raj Mehta's Jug Jug Jeeyo. After resuming the film's shoot, she tested positive for novel coronavirus. According to Hindustan Times, she returned to Mumbai after son Ranbir Kapoor arranged for an air ambulance.

3. Varun Dhawan

The actor recently tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently under isolation. He shared a photo confirming that he has contracted the virus in spite of following all safety guidelines. Varun and Neetu were shooting for the same film, Jug Jug Jeeyo. Dhawan decided to stay in Chandigarh for quarantining.            Read more about it here.

4. Maniesh Paul

Maniesh Paul also contracted the virus after meeting Neetu Singh and Varun Dhawan on the sets of Jug Jug Jeeyo. He confirmed the news through an Instagram post.

5. Kriti Sanon 

Actress Kriti Sanon has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. On Sunday, she was returning home from a shoot with actor Rajkummar Rao in Chandigarh, according to reports. She had even shared a snap on Instagram about her schedule wrap.                                                                                                                        Read about it here

6. Divya Bhatnagar 

The ‘Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ star died after her battle with COVID-19 earlier this week from complications arising from the virus. She was put on a ventilator, but did not survive the infection. The television actress suffered from high blood pressure, which made her a high-risk patient.

7. Sunny Deol

On December 2, BJP MP and actor Sunny Deol said he has tested positive for novel coronavirus. He appealed to those who have come in close contact with him to test themselves for the infection.

8. Harshvardhan Rane

Actor Harshvardhan Rane tested positive in October. He had shared a long note on his Twitter handle regarding the same. The actor has now recovered from the virus.

9. Malaika Arora

 Actress Malaika Arora had also contracted the virus in September. During that time, she was a judge on the reality show India’s Best Dancer whose shooting had to be halted. Arora, however, has recovered now.

10. Arjun Kapoor

Soon after Malaika Arora, actor Arjun Kapoor also tested positive for Covid-19. He was asymptomatic. Kapoor has also recovered and is opening up on his struggle after being diagnosed with the virus.

11. Genelia D'Souza

Actress Genelia D'Souza had also tested positive for COVID-19 on August 29. She later informed her fans that she had recovered from the infection and was asymptomatic for 21 days.
