Actor Kriti Sanon Tests Positive For COVID-19: Report

In a viral video doing the rounds on social media, Sanon was seen refusing to remove her mask for paparazzi at the airport.

Actress Kriti Sanon has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. The 30-year-old, however, is yet to confirm the news about her health. On Sunday, she was returning home from a shoot with actor Rajkummar Rao in Chandigarh, according to reports. She had even shared a travel snap on Instagram about her schedule wrap.

In a viral video doing the rounds on social media, Sanon was seen refusing to remove her mask for paparazzi at the airport. The video, shared by ETimes, shows Sanon walking down the airport after returning to Mumbai. Upon being asked if she would remove her mask, she outrightly refuses saying, "Bilkul nahi. Ek second bhi nahi." (Not even for a second.)

News Of Sanon Contracting COVID-19

The news of Sanon reportedly contracting coronavirus was also shared by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani on his Instagram page. The caption, shared alongside a photo of Sanon, read, "Call it bad luck inspite of taking all safety measures... She even told us that she would not remove her mask even for a second."

Other Bollywood Celebrities Who Tested Positive

Recently, it was reported that veteran actress Neetu Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, both part of the upcoming film Jug Jugg Jeeyo, had tested positive for coronavirus. The film's director Raj Mehta too has tested positive. Co-stars Anil Kapoor and Kiara Advani had however tested negative. According to India Today, the film shoot is on halt.

Prior to the beginning of the shoot, Kapoor had shared a picture of herself with her Jug Jugg Jeeyo co-stars, writing, "We are all Covid tested and safe, hence removed mask while taking picture." According to another social media post by her, this film would mark her return to film shooting after many years.

On December 7, television actor Divya Bhatnagar passed away at the age of 34, following COVID-19 complications. She had tested positive for COVID-19 in November and had been on ventilator support since last week. The actor was reportedly suffering from pneumonia as well. Several actors and colleagues of the deceased television star are now taking to social media, in order to pay their condolences. Read about it here.
