FIR against Bhushan Kumar: An FIR has been registered by the Mumbai police against Bollywood film producer and music moghul Bhushan Kumar on allegations of rape. A 30-year-old woman has alleged that Kumar took advantage of her on pretext of providing her work.

Bhushan Kumar is the son of late Gulshan Kumar, the founder of T-Series music label. He is the current Managing Director of the film production company and music record label. Kumar was charged with rape allegations under section 376 (for rape of woman) of the Indian Penal Code at the DN Nagar Police Station on Friday, July 16.
According to ANI, while a probe is underway in the case, no arrests have been made so far by the Mumbai Police. Reports suggest that Kumar allegedly abused the survivor from 2017 till August of last year. The survivor alleged that she was raped by Kumar at three different locations. she also accused him of threatening her to not speak about the incident to anyone. She further went on to allege that Kumar had threatened to release her pictures and videos on social media.
Other Accusations Against Kumar
Kumar was earlier accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous Twitter user in the midst of the #MeToo movement back in 2018. The woman had accused him of proposing to her during negotiations for a three-film agreement with his company. According to the woman, the incident occurred three years ago. The woman went on to allege in her tweet that she was fired from the project because she "refused to sleep with the 'boss.'"
In June, actor-producer Jakky Bhagnani was booked by Mumbai police, along with eight other people, on rape and molestation charges. The action was taken based on allegations of a 28-year-old model who had lodged a formal complaint against nine people, including photographer Colston Julian, Nikhil Kamat, Sheel Gupta, Ajit Thakur, Gurujyot Singh and Vishnu Wardhan Induri.
