Júlia Hennessy Cayuela, a social media influencer from Brazil, has reportedly died at age 22 following a motorcycle accident. As per local reports, the incident occurred last week on July 15 in the city of São José dos Pinhais.

A popular figure on Instagram with a large following of over 3 lakh followers, Cayuela was reportedly on a biking trip through south Brazil’s mountain terrain with her husband Daniel when she met her tragic end. Her husband escaped death but had to undergo surgeries.

Cayuela’s haunting final post on Instagram, made six days ago, features pictures of herself and Daniel in matching helmets and biking outfits in Capão Bonito. “Life is short, let’s be crazy. Me, you, God and the road!” she captioned the post in Portuguese.

“We are desolate, in shock, a very difficult time… We are suffering,” Cayuela’s stepfather – who said he was with her since she was six – told local media.

Local reports suggest Cayuela and Daniel crashed with a truck on the highway during their travel. The influencer was reportedly airlifted to hospital but could not be saved. Her husband was admitted to hospital for treatments. It was Cayuela’s family that informed him of her demise.

Cayuela was a student of biomedicine and routinely kept fans updated about her life, wardrobe, fitness, travels, and skincare on social media.

Hers is one in a string of recent influencer deaths that have led to the loss of many young celebrity lives. This month alone, at least four social media influencer deaths have been reported from across the world. The list includes Sophia Cheung from Hong Kong, Odalis Santos Mena from Mexico, Swavy in the United States and Caitlyn Loane in Australia.
