Nushrratt Bharuccha Starrer Chhorii To Release In November

Amazon Prime Video India released the motion poster of Nushrratt Bharuccha starrer Chhorii today. "The new face of horror now coming to haunt us 😨 #ChhoriiOnPrime, this November", read the caption.

The poster shows a scary-looking woman with a pregnant belly with an eerie sound in the background. Here's the Instagram post unveiling the poster.

Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Jack Davis, and Shikhaa Sharma, Chhorii is a remake of the Marathi horror film Lapachhap. The cast of the film includes Mita Vashisht, Rajesh Jais, Saurabh Goyal, and Yaanea Bharadwaj besides Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead role. The film is also co-produced by the Kumars' T-Series and the remake Chhorii is backed by Indian production company Abundantia Entertainment and international production house Crypt TV.

In an interview with Filmfare, Nushrratt Bharuccha said that she has never done a film where the responsibility for every emotion in the film lied on her. "I have to scare the viewers, make them emotional and laugh too. The film revolves around this one person stuck in a situation. But I am excited to be the makers’ first choice.", she said.

In another interview, she had mentioned that this genre excited her and she is happy to work with Vishal Furia.

The actor made her debut in Bollywood with the film Kal Kissne Dekha. It released in 2009. Post that, she appeared in films such as Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Dream Girl. She will also be seen in Hansal Mehta's Chhalaang.

Chhori will release directly on Amazon Prime Video India in November.
