Bhoot Police Movie Review: How Has Social Media Reacted To This Horror-Comedy

Bhoot Police Movie Review: Horror-comedy Bhoot Police is now available for streaming on Disney+Hotstar. The film was earlier slated to release on September 17 but it got preponed to seven days ahead of the schedule.

The film is helmed by Pawan Kirpalani and features actors Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. The supporting cast of the film features Jaaved Jaaferi, Jamie Lever and Alexx O’Nell in a key roles. The entire cast and crew went to Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan for the shoot.

The film revolves around two brothers- Vibhooti (played by Khan) and Chiraunji (played by Arjun Kapoor) who have inherited the legacy and “vidya” of busting ghosts from their father. But both the brothers have a different approach towards their work.

One day, the duo is approached by a woman named Maya. Her role is played by Yami Gautam. She wants to save her father’s tea estate from the malice of a ghost. Fernandez plays the role of her sister. She just wants to sell off the estate instead and move abroad. How will the duo fare on this assignment? This forms the crux of the story. Read more about it here.

Bhoot Police Director Pavan Kirpalani had said in a statement, “I am really thrilled to have Saif and Arjun come together for this entertaining feature. Both of them will be seen bringing their trademark fun elements to the brand new avatars they will portray in this film…”

Social media has mixed reactions to the movie. Some netizens called it a perfect movie while others said that it is an enjoyable one. One netizen tweeted that the writing of the movie could have been better while another said that the movie lacked script.
