Netflix October Releases 2021: The 21st century and the culture of binging has expanded over the lockdown has definitely got us hooked to the lives and storylines of characters in TV shows. This without a doubt always keeps us on our toes eagerly waiting for updates and some news from the creators.

The month of October with Netflix brings much awaited new releases such as Diana: The Musical which is a musical based on the life of Princess Diana along with new series of TV shows such as On My Block, Dynasty, The Baby Sitter's Club. This month will also see the end in Dhruv and Kavya's love story in the series Little Things with Season 4 of the show as the last season.

Diana: The Musical

Release date: October 1

Diana: The Musical is a celebration of the life of Diana, the Princess of Wales. Based on one of the most influential figures in history, this production is believed to be first-of-its-kind. Directed by Christopher Ashley, it features Jeanna de Waal as “Diana”

On My Block

Release date: October 4

Created by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft, On My Block is an American teen comedy drama. Starring Sierra CapriJason GenaoBrett Gray, Diego Tinoco, and Jessica Marie Garcia, the storyline revolves around four teens trying to make it through Freeridge, a rough inner-city Los Angeles neighbourhood with their friendship being put through a test as they enter high school.

Critics have praised the series for its focus on diversity and inclusion with regards to the cast and plot. The fourth and the final season of the series will be out on October 4.

Dynasty

Release date: October 4

Created by Josh SchwartzStephanie Savage, and Sallie Patrick, Dynasty is an American TV series follows the lives of the Carrington’s, one of the wealthiest families in the country and their personal feud mostly revolving around money and power.

Some of the cast members include Elizabeth Gillies, Grant Show and Nathalie Kelley. Based on the 1980’s show of the same name, the show follows a similar plot but with important changes such as the father accepting his son’s sexuality, the inclusion of Hispanic cast members and changing the “gold-digger” character from female to male.

Escape The Undertaker

Release date: October 5

Escape The Undertaker is an interactive Netflix film with the New Day and The Undertaker to star in lead roles. The film is a product of Netflix’s partnership with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

The horror film consists of The Undertaker setting a trap for the The New Day at his mansion which is an extreme Haunted House with supernatural challenges added to the mix.

“It's up to viewers to decide the fate of these three poor souls trying to survive the wrath of The Undertaker,” said the official synopsis.

The Baby-Sitters Club season 2

Release date: October 11

Created by Rachel Shukert, this American comedy is based on the lives of a bunch of middle-school friends based in Westbrook, Connecticut who start a babysitting business.

Based on a novel by the same name, the show’s first season is available on Netflix to stream. The show stars Sophie Grace, Momona Tamada, Shay Rudolph and Alicia Silverstone as some of the cast members.

You: Season 3

Release date: October 15

The psychological thriller and crime drama is revolves around the story of a bookstore manager who’s infatuation with a woman coverts into toxic obsession and relentless social media tracking. Created by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, the show stars Penn Badgley with the Season 3 of the series expecting a flip in the script.

Little Things Season 4

Release date: October 15

Created by Ruchir Arun and Pranjal Dua, Little Things is show that revolves around the “adorable and enriching” lives of Dhruv (played by Dhruv Sehgal) and Kavya Kulkarni (Mithila Palkar), a young couple based in Mumbai, India. This will be the last and final season of the show and is expected to document the couple’s transition on to a newer phase.

Many old classics such as Titanic, Zodiac and Project X will also be available on Netflix for you to check out!
