Jr. NTR and Lakshmi exchanged vows in a lavish traditional ceremony on May 11, 2011, in Hyderabad. One notable aspect of their union is their significant age difference, Jr. NTR was 26, while Lakshmi was just 19 at the time of their wedding. However, this never posed an issue in their relationship.

The real challenge lay in adjusting to married life, which wasn’t easy at first. Yet, Lakshmi’s strength and determination helped her overcome the initial struggles with grace. Speaking about their early days as a married couple, Jr. NTR once revealed to Deccan Chronicle, "During the early stages of our married life, Lakshmi did struggle to adjust for a few months. But she is a forceful woman mentally, stronger than me." Jr. NTR has never shied away from expressing gratitude for his wife’s unwavering support, acknowledging how she has stood by him through every twist and turn of life.
In the same interview, Jr. NTR opened up about his wife, Lakshmi, calling her the "anchor" of his life. He shared, “She (Lakshmi Rao) has played an important role in changing me into what I am now. Being married to this wonderful woman makes me feel very special. She has done a lot for me, and she is my anchor after my mum in my house, and that’s the other reason for me to stay at home. I am really comfortable at home and rarely feel the desire to go out.”

The couple’s love story reached another beautiful milestone when they welcomed their first child, Abhay Ram, on July 22, 2014.
