Want to hear another celebrity dating app story? This time, it comes from the world of sports! Wimbledon star Taylor Fritz, who is up against the world number two Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon semi-finals, found love on a dating app! Ranked fifth in the world, Taylor has made it to the semi-finals of the UK’s prestigious Grand Slam. The young tennis sensation met his soulmate, Morgan Riddle, on Raya, a dating app exclusively for celebrities. Interestingly, Morgan initially knew next to nothing about tennis before falling in love with Taylor. Now, she’s carved a niche for herself on social media by creating content around life on the professional tennis tour as the player’s girlfriend.
Before Morgan, Taylor was married to former pro tennis player and childhood sweetheart Raquel Pedraza. The two tied the knot in 2016 and welcomed their son, Jordan, in 2017. The couple separated in 2019.
In the Netflix tennis documentary Break Point, Taylor opened up about the challenges of balancing fatherhood with the intense demands of life on tour:
“I have a son that I don't get to see nearly as much as I'd like. As it stands right now, I just have to try and see him as much as I possibly can.”
Taylor & Morgan: The Star-Crossed Lovers
After beginning her relationship with Taylor, Morgan left her corporate job to travel the ATP Tour alongside him. Since early 2022, she’s been producing engaging social media content aimed at demystifying tennis for newcomers. From explaining the rules of the game to sharing glimpses of life behind the scenes, her videos have become a hit, especially with younger audiences.
During the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, she launched a series titled 'Wimbledon Threads', which explored the fashion scene at the tournament. The New York Times also called Morgan 'The Most Famous Woman In Men's Tennis.'
With over a million followers across platforms, Morgan has emerged as a digital ambassador for tennis. In a July 2023 interview with People, she spoke about the couple’s shared mission to bring the sport to a younger crowd. While Taylor inspires on the court, Morgan introduces the game through social media.
Together, they’re not just winning in love, they’re also serving tennis to a whole new generation!
