Former Olympic javelin champion Neeraj Chopra surprised his fans on Sunday, January 19 by announcing his wedding to Himani Mor. The couple shared the joyous news through social media, posting several pictures from their intimate ceremony. The wedding, held in Himachal Pradesh, was attended by 40-50 close family members and friends.

In his post, Neeraj expressed his gratitude, writing, "Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after." The two-time Olympic medallist also sought the support and blessings of his fans as he and Himani began this new chapter of their lives.

Who Is Himani Mor?

Himani Mor is a 25-year-old tennis player from Sonipat, Haryana. She completed her schooling at Little Angels School in Sonipat. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in sports management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire.

Before her time in the US, Himani graduated from Miranda House, Delhi University, with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Physical Education. She has a brother, Himanshu, who also plays tennis.

Himani’s tennis career has seen several highlights. She competed at the national level for Delhi University and represented India at the 2017 World University Games in Taipei.

In 2016, she won a gold medal at the World Junior Tennis Championship in Malaysia. According to the All India Tennis Association (AITA), her career-best national rankings were 42 in singles and 27 in doubles, both achieved in 2018. Moreover, Amherst College in Massachusetts lists her as an assistant coach for women's tennis, a role she balances alongside her studies.

On her LinkedIn profile, Himani Mor describes herself as a dedicated professional with extensive experience in sports and sport management. She writes, "With over fourteen years of experience in sports and two years in sport management and administration, I am a passionate leader who works towards making sports an integral part of our lives. I believe that sports can transcend the boundaries of borders, colors, or physical identities and foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and empowerment."

Currently, Himani serves as a graduate assistant at Amherst College, where she oversees various aspects of the women's tennis team. She shares, "As a graduate assistant at Amherst College, I manage the college's women's tennis team, overseeing training, scheduling, recruiting, and budgeting. At the same time, I am also pursuing my MS in this field from the McCormack Isenberg School of Management."

Her commitment to communication and teamwork is evident in her approach to leadership. Himani highlights her strengths, stating, "I excel at communication and team motivation, and I enjoy collaborating with students, faculty, and staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment." She is driven by the goal of advancing the field of sport management and contributing to the growth of the sports industry, noting, "My goal is to leverage my skills and knowledge to advance the field of sport management and administration and to contribute to the development and success of the sport industry."
