The US woman Kelsey Grubb, hailing from New Mexico can turn her foot a whopping 171.4 degrees.

The 38-year-old Grubb spoke with Guinness World Records about how she realised that her unique talent was a world record breaker.

Who Is Kelsey Grubb?

Kelsey Grubb who works in a library was going about her day when the world record book had come out. A coworker was going through the pages and randomly stumbled upon the page with the largest foot rotation.

When Grubb looked over her shoulder and saw the page, she told her coworker "I think I can do that".

Until that moment, Grubb had assumed that her foot rotation was the norm and that most people could turn their foot out further than 90 degrees.

She said, "I always knew I was flexible there but had assumed most people could turn their foot farther than 90 degrees out."

While Kelsey Grubb didn't know how Guinness World Records measured the foot rotation, she knew that she had a good chance to set the new record.

Seeing Grubb's feet turned from front to back may seem painful, however, the record breaker revealed that her unique talent does not hurt her, however, she can feel it in her knee and turns her foot slower when that happens. She added that turning her foot around feels natural.

When Grubb told people that she was trying for the record, they instantly asked her if she could show them. After seeing Grubb turn her feet around from front to back, they became certain that she could beat the previous record.

Grubb added that she did not train to turn her feet around, but as an ice skater, she is constantly utilising her unique talent on the ice.

Similar Case

In another case of a women's unique talent involving her feet, Shannen Jones broke an archery world record using only her feet and her skills.

The Australian archer used her feet to shoot an arrow at a distance of 18.27 metres.
