On Instagram, both official accounts for Netflix and "The Crown" posted a set of the same stills, teasing a new glimpse at the sixth season. Here's everything we know about the upcoming season from them. Beware! Potential spoilers ahead.

The War of the Wales

Season 6 seems primed to cover Prince Charles (played by Dominic West) and Princess Diana's relationships after their divorce in 1996- in particular, their relationship with their two sons, Princes William and Harry. As most divorced parents do, both try to outdo each other to win the love and affection of their children. Season 5 covered how Prince Charles and Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) tried to make each other look bad in front of the British press and public, in what is popularly known as the 'War of the Wales'. In Season 6, it seems like the 'War of the Wales' will get a lot more personal- and brutal.

Diana and Dodi

Princess Diana's whirlwind romance with Dodi Al-Fayed will be a prominent storyline in season 6. From the stills of Diana and Dodi on a yacht and in a car together, season 6 will include Diana's last summer in 1997, where she (spoiler!) went on vacation with Mohamed Al-Fayed's son (played by Khalid Abdalla) before her tragic death in a car crash in Paris that August.

Mohamed Al-Fayed

We all know that season 6 of the show will cover the last chapters of Princess Diana's life- and the reaction to her tragic death. Judging by Mohamed Al-Fayed's grim demeanour in one of the stills on Netflix's Instagram post, season 6 could potentially cover the numerous cases and lawsuits of the Egyptian businessman. Played by actor Salim Daw, Mohamed Al-Fayed was inconsolable after the death of his son Dodi- who (spoiler!) also died in the car crash with Princess Diana. The Egyptian businessman was convinced that their accidental death was in fact murder- a claim that he underwent multiple lawsuits and investigations to prove.

The Queen

In the second still, in the post, Queen Elizabeth II (played by Imelda Staunton) is shown looking grim but determined. Could this be her reaction to al-Fayed's numerous lawsuits? Could this be her reaction to Diana's death?

We'll only know when the show is released on Netflix. The sixth and final season of "The Crown" will be released in two parts; Part 1, consisting of four episodes, will be released on 16th November, and Part 2, consisting of 6 episodes, will be released on 14th December 2023.
