Last year in September 2020,  Mumbai Police had summoned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap as the allegations of sexual harassment were made against him by the actor Payal Ghosh.

Payal Ghosh stressed that in spite of her “providing evidence”, Mumbai Police is yet to do their job.

Richa Chadha had also demanded monetary compensation of Rs 1.1 crore damages but the suit has been dropped.

Payal Ghosh has withdrawn the defamatory statements against Richa Chadha after both the parties submitted consent terms.

Payal Ghosh recently wrote to the President of Indiaand alleged that “Justice is being delayed” in her case and she fears that it “might just as well be denied”.

Chadha had told the court that the loss to her “reputation’’ is “irreparable’’ and “continuous’’ as she had “suffered tremendous humiliation and stress.’’

Ghosh, who is also an actor, had mentioned Huma Qureshi, Richa Chadha, and Mahie Gill’s names while alleging harassment by Kashyap in September.
