Who is Vaibhavi Shandilya: Tamil language actor Vaibhavi Shandilya, who was last seen in the film Sever Sundaram, has been roped in to play a key role in the magnum opus web series Chhatrasal. The story of the series is based on warrior Maharaja Chhatrasal. It features actors Ashutosh Rana and Jitin Gulati in the lead roles. The series has been directed by Anadii Chaturvedi.

Rana, who is playing Aurangzeb in the series, will face Gulati, essaying the role of King Chhatrasal, who started a war against the Mughal emperor to free Bundelkhand in 1649. Shandilya will be seen essaying the role of Devkunwari- Chhatrasal’s first wife, in the series.

She is known for her vast body of work in Marathi and Tamil films. On the other hand, actor Anushka Luhar has been roped in for the role of Sushila, Chhatrasal’s second wife. Besides the primary cast, actors Manish Wadhwa and Rudra Soni will be seen in significant roles. Furthermore, actor Neena Gupta will be seen taking viewers through the lesser-known saga of Chhatrasal.

Who is Vaibhavi Shandilya?

Shandilya has worked predominantly in the Tamil film industry. The 27-year-old actor made her debut with Santhanm in Sakka Podu Podu Raja and was part of a couple of other Tamil films namely Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu and Capmaari. She has also worked alongside Bollywood actor Vidya Balan in Marathi film Ekk Albela in 2016, in which she played the role of a girl named Shaheen.

Shandilya is a fitness freak and loves to workout at the gym. Her Instagram profile is filled with posts about her extreme workout sessions. She recently shared a video on adding deadlift to the regime after three years of break due to back injury. According to Shandilya, working out has helped her regain the strength and confidence necessary to lift stronger.

The young actor had taken to her social media handle to reveal that she had tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this year after having mild symptoms like fever, body ache and dry cough.
