When Is The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Coming Out? Here's What We Know

Superhero-drama series The Umbrella Academy came out with its first season in 2019. Since then, it has amassed quite a fanbase for its engaging and thrilling plot as well as interesting characters. The show is based on American comic book series by the same name, created by Gerard Way.

The Umbrella Academy consists of an ensemble cast of Elliot Page, Aidan Gallagher, Robert Sheehan, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, David Castañeda, Justin H Min, Cameron Britton, Mary J Blige, Kate Walsh and Colm Feore. The show follows the story of seven adopted superhero siblings who attempt to save the world from apocalypse while dealing with their dysfunctional familial issues.

The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Cast

Most of the prominent actors of The Umbrella Academy series are expected to return in the third season including Elliot Page, Aidan Gallagher, Robert Sheehan and David Castañeda among others. According to reports, 15-year-old Euphoria star Javon Walton will also be seen in the series.

The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Plot

While the plot for the third season of the series is unknown as of yet, there are speculations that the story for the upcoming season will revolve around a mysterious hotel named Oblivion. It is also expected that Min's character Ben or Number Six, may go rogue in this season. The Umbrella Academy creator Steve Blackman said that the series is expected to include many surprises in its latest outing. "There's some very big surprises with the family this year, there's some amazing changes that people will love to sort of dig into, and there's a lot of growth for this family this year in a way that people are just not going to expect."

The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Release date

The Umbrella Academy was supposed to come out in March 2022, however, the Netflix Calendar for March 2022 did not enlist the series. As per reports, the show wrapped up shoot back in August 2021 but is still in post-production. While the OTT platform did share fresh posters to announce the new season of the show this year, The Umbrella Academy Season 3 release date has not been confirmed yet.
