The top surgery for transgender men is a surgical procedure to remove breast tissue. And, the Oscar-nominated actor posted a photo of himself soaking in the sun in poolside on Monday. The 34-year-old actor took to Instagram and wrote, “Trans bb’s first swim trunks.” He captioned his photo with the hashtags #transjoy and #transisbeautiful.

The Juno and The Umbrella Academy actor revealed last year that he is transgender and non-binary. Elliot Page took to his Twitter account and officially informed followers saying, “Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot.”

In March this year, Page revealed in a cover story for TIME that he underwent top surgery to remove his breast tissue, which he said "completely transformed" his life. He was recovering from the surgery in Toronto when he officially came out as transgender in December last year. He further told the magazine that he grew up feeling "like a boy" but had "to look a certain way" for his acting career, starting at the tender age of ten. On Instagram, he said he came out as transgender to "connect" to his body and "fully listen" to himself. "I love that I am trans," he wrote. "And I love that I am queer." "I had a lot of time on my own to really focus on things that I think, in so many ways, unconsciously, I was avoiding,” he added.

In April, Page opened up about being able to identify with himself after his procedure during an interview with Oprah Winfrey and revealed that sometimes he was looking at himself in the mirror and he was just like, 'there I am' and I'm not having the moment where I'm panicked'. He also shared how the little things since his transition have brought him the much joy.
