Edhiri: All About The Revathy Starrer Segment Of Tamil Anthology "Navarasa"

Here's everything you need to know about the third episode of Netflix's Navarasa, Edhiri Navarasa.

Edhiri release date: Netflix's Navarasa, an anthology of nine distinct stories depicting the navarasas, nine human emotions of courage, compassion, love, laughter, fear, wonder, anger, disgust, and tranquillity, will be out on the OTT on August 6.

The film has been created by Mani Ratnam along with Jayendra Panchapakesan as an initiative to support and raise funds for industry workers who have been severely hit by the pandemic.

Reportedly, none of the actors and directors have charged any remuneration for their work in the series and all the proceeds from the project will be donated for this cause.

Nine different directors - Gautham Menon, Arvind Swami, Priyadarshan, Rathindran Prasad, Vasanth, Karthik Subbaraj, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthick Naren, and Sarjun KM, have directed the nine stories separately.

Suriya, Rohini, Aditi Balan, Ashok Selvan, Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Delhi Ganesh, Karthick Krisna, Yogi Babu, Ramya Nambeesan, Revathy, Bobby Simhaa, Gautham Menon, Pragya Martin, Rythvika, Prasanna, Siddharth, Parvathy, Atharvaa, Anjali and Kishore constitute the ensemble cast of the anthology.

Stars like Suriya, Arvind Swami and Vijay Sethupathi among others will be marking their debut on OTT along with this series.

The mega-anthology also happens to be a collaboration of exceptional music composers including AR Rahman, Ghibran, D Imman, Karthik, Aruldev, Ron Ethan Yohann, Govind Vasantha, Justin Prabhakaran and Vishal Bhardwaj.

Many noted cinematographers such as Santosh Sivan, PC Sreeram, Manoj Paramahamsa, Balasubramaniam, Abhinandhan Ramanujam, Sreyas Krishna among others have come together for this upcoming Tamil emotional saga.

Netflix describes the series as “an anthology that will hit every emotional chord.”

Edhiri which means "the enemy" is the third episode of the anthology symbolising the emotion of anger.

The story's star cast consists of Vijay Sethupathi and Revathy in the lead along with Ashok Selvan and Prakash Raj in the supporting roles. Sethupathi will be making his digital debut with this project.

The film has been directed by Bejoy Nambiar. And the film's music has been composed by Govind Vasantha.

Edhiri will be streaming along with other eight episodes on Netflix from August 6.
