Actor Hina Khan, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame, recently opened up about about the struggles she faced early on in her career. The actor, in an interview spoke about her recent project and facing rejections in her career.

Khan recently made an appearance in the song Main Bhi Barbaad, alongside Angad Bedi.
In the interview with ET Now, Hina Khan revealed that she was rejected from a project where she had to play a Kashmiri girl due to her dusky complexion. When asked about dealing with rejections, the actor said that there are times when she probably doesn't like the story or she does not want to do that kind of character for the time being.
She then went on to say that there are also times when you give audition, and are very keen that it works, but it then does not work out for some reasons. She said that she did not get cast for the role of the Kashmiri girl because of her dusky complexion even though she can speak the language fluently.
Khan said that she felt really bad. She believed she would have worked wonders in the role, given her command over the language. However, even if she did not get cast in the role, she never loses hope, does not give up, and keeps trying.
Hina Khan is known for her roles as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Komolika in Kasautii Zindagi Kay. In 2017, she participated in the popular reality shows Fear Factor : Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, and Big Boss 11, and emerged as the runner up in both.
