Gabby Petito dead body found? The search for YouTuber Gabrielle "Gabby" Petito might have come to a heartbreaking end with the discovery of a body matching her description. The vlogger had gone missing while on a cross-country trip with her finance in August. While the news of the recovery of a corpse has been relayed to Petito's family, there is no confirmation as of yet on her identity. An autopsy scheduled for September 21 might reveal more details.

According to Wyoming's Teton County coroner, the autopsy scheduled for Tuesday would help confirm the identity of the remains recovered via photographs, DNA or personal identification. No cause of death in reference to the recovered remains has been established as of yet. Meanwhile, Petito's fiance Brian Laundrie, who had been named a "person of interest" by police, remains missing.
The mysterious disappearance of Gabby Petito
The 22-year-old helmed a vlogging channel named 'Nomadic Statik'. In July, Petito set out on a four-month-long cross country trip, accompanied by her fiance. On August 24, she told her family that she was at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming from where she and Laundrie would head to the Yellowstone national park, which is spread across the states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho in the United States. However, this was the last time her family connected with her one on one. Petito's mother said that she received text messages from her daughter's phone till August 30. Then on September 1, Laundrie came back to Florida from the trip all by himself.
On September 11, Petito's family filed a missing person's complaint. On September 14, Laundrie went missing. His family said that he left alleging he was going for a hike near Carlton Reserve, Florida. Ever since the police has been trying to trace the couple at separate locations.
On September 20, the police found remains of a person matching the description of Petito from Bridger-Teton National Forest on the eastern edge of Grand Teton National Park. The investigators are further seeking tips from people who may have seen the couple or the vehicle they had been travelling in, while on their trip.
On September 21, media reports showed a makeshift memorial of stones arranged in the shape of a cross made at the spot where Petito's apparent dead body was found. The investigating officers have reportedly still on the look for Petito's boyfriend who is missing. The police also went to his family home in Florida to look for him. The autopsy reports which will confirm if the dead body found at the spot is of Petito is scheduled to release on September 21.
