On October 1, Sunday, an anticipated romantic rendezvous went haywire for a man in Gurugram when his Bumble Date allegedly drugged him and vanished with his phone, money, cards, and gold. The man claimed the drug to be so strong he woke up on October 3, two days later, when he found out about the theft from his dating app match.

The man, Rohit Gupta, a resident of DLF Phase 4, recalled his Bumble date experience when he had met a woman named Sakshi alias Payal on the online dating app. The woman allegedly called the man around 10 pm on Sunday wanting to meet him and asked him if he could pick her up from Dockyard Bar at sector 47.

As asked, the man picked her up from the given address and bought some liquor from the nearby local shop as they planned to have drinks at his place. As they reached, the woman asked her to bring some ice from the kitchen and the man suspects it was then that she spiked his drink.
