On being asked whether the Big Production houses will now work with Kangana, Vikram Bhatt said, “Now the question is, is Kangana a good actor? I would say, yes, she is. She has proved it with her performances and you cannot take that away from her. Kangana can make her films. I don’t think Kangana has ever worked in a Yash Raj Films film. I guess she worked in a film with Karan Johar but now neither she will work with him nor will Karan work with her. However, she will get work and it’s not like she will completely be boycotted.” Vikram Bhatt spoke to HT.

Kangana Ranaut in the recent times has been speaking up on political issues, for example, she openly criticised Uddhav Thackeray. She also spoke up on Bollywood and nepotism. Bhatt's interview is in the light of her recent public commentary.

In the interview with HT, Bhatt also talked about Kangana's political statements. He said Kangana is a type of a person who likes to be vocal about her opinions and since this is independent India nobody can stop anyone from saying what they want to. He then added that when she makes political statements she must expect a similar response. Similarly, when she constantly annoys someone with her statement she must be ready to take the consequences.
