Kubra Dogan death: On Monday, a 23-year-old Turkish TikToker Kubra Dogan passed away while filming content for her account. She visited her cousin in Istanbul, when the duo planned to shoot a video together on the roof of latter's apartment complex. In the process, Dogan fell nine storeys after a roofing sheet broke under her weight. The entire tragic incident was caught on camera by Dogan's cousin.

Dogan's death is being mourned by her followers online. The nature of the incident also raises  questions regarding the extent to which content creators go to make videos and how it could lead to a tragedy.

Here are ten things we know so far about Kubra Dogan's shocking death:

1. Kubra Dogan was in Istanbul, visiting her 16-year-old cousin Helen. On August 23. the duo decided to go to the roof of complex where Dogan's cousin lived and film content for TikTok.
2. Reportedly, they spent a lot of time together clicking selfies and making videos. The accident took place around 7:30 pm local time.
3. Shot by Helen, the footage of the tragic incident shows Dogan posing for the camera. She then stepped off the roof onto a grey plastic covering which immediately ripped off.
4. As soon as Helen turned the camera towards the TikToker, a loud tearing sound was heard and she disappeared through the panel before falling nine storeys.
5. Her cousin then rushed to inform the family about the incident, who subsequently called the emergency services.
6. Paramedics appeared on the spot and declared that Dogan dead.
7. Nebi Dogan, the digital content creator's uncle said he intends to sue the contractor who installed flimsy plastic panel. The family will not give up till he is punished. "We will not let him go," he said adding that as soon as the girl put her foot down, she fell to the ground from the ninth floor.
8. He also said that the family members had warned them against making dangerous TikTok videos but they did not listen. "We warned them, but they did not obey, " Dogan's uncle was quoted saying.
9. The content creator's body will be taken to her hometown, Midyat in the Mardin province of Turkey.
10. After the post-mortem procedures are carried out, Dogan's family will carry out a burial for her.
