The Mumbai Police, after conducting a post-midnight raid at the city's posh Dragonfly Club, arrested designer Sussanne Khan and 33 others for violating COVID-19 guidelines. According to reports, Khan was booked after Monday night's raid but later released on bail. A case was filed on 27 celebrities, including cricketer Suresh Raina and singer Guru Randhawa, and seven employees of the pub.
Mumbai's civic body has set 11.30 pm as the functional time limit for pubs in the city. The raid, conducted reportedly around 2:50 am, found partygoers without masks and social distancing norms. According to news reports, Khan, who is actor Hrithik Roshan's former wife, and the others were booked under various sections of the IPC.

COVID-19 Guidelines In Mumbai
As per recent guidelines announced by the Maharashtra government, a curfew has been imposed in Mumbai and other cities between 11 pm and 6 am till January 5, in light of the pandemic. The announcement came following news of a virulent variant of the coronavirus in the UK, whose spread has prompted various countries - including India - to temporarily ban all flights to and from the place.
The Dragonfly Club, located near the Mumbai airport in the Sahar area, was reportedly keeping open till 4 am, in violation of the state's guidelines. Reports suggest the police acted upon a tip-off prior to the raid.

Who is Sussanne Khan?
Sussanne Khan, 42, is a noted interior designer and ex-wife of actor Hrithik Roshan. Daughter of actor Sanjay Khan, she belongs to a Bollywood film family, with sibling Zayed Khan also in the industry. Her sister, Farah Khan Ali is also a designer, known for being vocal about her views online. Sussanne Khan's journey as a designer comes tailing her mother's, who was also a prominent designer back in the day. Known as one of the first "Bollywood wives," Khan married Roshan in 2000. The couple, who has two sons, ended their relationship in 2013.
Khan and Roshan are noted for having maintained an amicable friendship and co-parenting relationship even after their split. Khan consistently backed her former husband when he got involved in an ugly back and forth with Kangana Ranaut over an alleged affair.
