Indore: Cop And Wife Found Dead, Minor Daughter A Suspect For Double Murder

A Special Armed Force constable and his wife were found dead in their Indore residence on Thursday. According to the police, the couple was allegedly murdered with a sharp-edged knife. Even though the investigation is still going on the police suspects the couple's minor daughter and her male friend.  The bodies have been sent for autopsy.

According to a report, the bodies of Neelam (43) and Jyoti Prasad Sharma (45) were found in blood-stained clothes in their house which comes under Aerodome Police station in Indore. Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Prashant Choube said that the double murder was carried by a sharp-edged weapon.

The ASP also talked about the deceased couple's 17-year-old daughter who was allegedly "roaming" outside the house when people could hear screams from inside. He said, "According to the eyewitnesses, the constable's minor daughter was found roaming outside their residence in the early hours even as loud screams came from inside the house."

He also said told that when neighbours asked the daughter about the screams coming from inside, she said that her parents were fighting. The police finds her as a suspect mainly because she and her friend have disappeared after the murder.

The ASP further said, "After the double murder, the minor daughter of the dead and her male friend have disappeared and that is why we suspect their involvement," the official said. The police are currently on a lookout for the duo. According to the ASP, the minor daughter's friend was seen fighting with the deceased Jyoti Prasad Sharma a month back.
