Chadha, who made her acting debut with Dibakar Banerjee's Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, reflected that she is "grateful" for this win and that it will only "embolden" her to choose better projects in the future. Known for her unconventional roles Chadha further added, “For the year that we’ve had, it remains a continual duty of artistes to support the lesser privileged and help reinstate their lives. The job of an actor goes beyond an entertainer’s. We all carry the responsibility of uplifting the society, and as an influencer, I urge that more people join in supporting the lesser privileged. It’s equally our responsibility to vouch continual support to the medical fraternity and Covid warriors, who’ve brought us out of the most tumultuous year of our lives.”

Some of her breakthrough performances were in films like Anurag Kashyap's classic Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Masaan, Sarbjit, David Womark’s Indo-American production Love Sonia, Section 375, Panga and many more.
