The actor wrote an all caps message to the outlet, "PLEASE STOP MISLEADING MISQUOTING HEADLINES." She also asked the outlet to check her tweet before putting out headlines.

On October 8, a leading daily had published an article on Raveena Tandon's tweet after the arrest of star kid Aryan Khan among others in a drug raid.

Raveena Tandon had tweeted, "Shameful politics being played out.. it's a young man's life and future they toying with... heartbreaking."

The headline used by the outlet, "Raveena Tandon calls Aryan Khan arrest 'shameful', says his future is being toyed with," didn't go down well with Tandon.

The headline was later changed to "Raveena Tandon calls 'politics' around Aryan Khan's arrest 'shameful', says his future is being toyed with.'  After the headline was corrected, Tandon deleted her tweet.

Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's son Aryan was arrested on October 3, along with model Munmun Dhamecha and his friend Arbaz Merchant by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The NCB had raided a party going on aboard a cruise ship, where the officials recovered illegal substances like charas, cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy pills). All the persons arrested on the cruise ship were booked under sections relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act of 1985.

Many media organisations have come under fire for exaggerated reporting of the case which includes a leading Hindi news channel, that aired an animated video of Aryan Khan's stay in the custody. From what he was eating to where he was sleeping, the report claimed to provide a detailed account of Aryan Khan's NCB remand. Recently, another outlet got trolled for reporting on Shah Rukh Khan's car being spotted outside his home Mannat.

Netizens have been also called out media outlets for prioritising news about Aryan Khan's arrest over the ongoing violence case in the Lakhimpur Kheri case, where eight farmers were allegedly mowed down and killed by Union Minister Ajay Mishra's son Ashish Mishra.

Aryan Khan's bail application was rejected by a magistrate court in Mumbai on October 9. While Khan's NCB remand has come to an end, he has been sent to a 14-day judicial custody along with Merchant and Dhamecha. No drugs were found on Khan at the time he was nabbed by NCB, however, the investigative agency has claimed that they found "incriminating" material on Khan's WhatsApp chats.
