Sussanne Khan On Aryan Khan Arrest: Actor Hrithik Roshan’s former wife Sussanne Khan has extended support to Aryan Khan following his arrest after a raid on a cruise ship. Son of Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, Aryan’s custody with Narcotics Control Bureau was extending till October 7 yesterday by a Mumbai court. While no drugs were found on Aryan, he was arrested by the NCB based on incriminating material found on his phone that was confiscated by the agency.
Ever since the news about Aryan’s arrest began doing rounds, as a result of which the entire Khan clan came under social media scrutiny, several celebrities have extended support to the popular Bollywood couple and their son.
Sussanne Khan commented on a post by author Shobha De, captioned “A huge one”, writing that Aryan was “unfortunately at the wrong place at the wrong time.” Sussanne further added that this situation is being made an example to drive home the excitement that some people get as they have a witch hunt on people from Bollywood. “It’s sad n unfair as he is a good kid. I stand by Gauri n Shahrukh,” she further added in her comment.
Apart from Sussanne, filmmaker Hansal Mehta, actor Suniel Shetty and actor-producer Pooja Bhatt too extended support to Shah Rukh Khan and his family. “It is painful for a parent having to deal with a child getting into trouble. It gets compounded when people begin to arrive at judgements before the law takes its course,” Mehta tweeted on October 4, further adding that such an approach was disrespectful and unfair to the parent and to the parent-child relationship.
“I stand in solidarity with [email protected] Not that you need it. But I do. This too, shall pass,” tweeted Pooja Bhatt. Shetty, on the other hand, said that the NCB investigation is underway and thus Aryan needs to be given a breather. “Whenever something like this from our industry happens, the media cracks down on it and we make assumptions, give the child an opportunity, let the real reports come out, till then, he’s a child, taking care of him is our responsibility,” he further added.
Sussanne Khan was in news last year when reports emerged suggesting that she had been detained by the Mumbai Police during a raid at the city’s Dragonfly club. Khan, along with cricketer Suresh Raina and 33 others were reportedly arrested for violating COVID-19 guidelines of the state. However, Khan clarified on December 23, that the speculations by parts of the media about her arrest were “completely incorrect and also irresponsible.” Read more about it here.
