A young man, who had gone for a midnight date to his girlfriend's home, died after falling off the terrace of the building while hiding from her father. The incident happened in Hyderabad’s Borabanda locality.

20-year-old Mohammed Shoaib, who worked at a bakery, had gone to the terrace of his girlfriend’s residence with pizza around midnight for a late-night date when the couple heard the girl’s father coming up the steps.

Hyderabad Man Falls To Death From Terrace

The police said Shoaib got startled and ran to the edge of the roof to hide from his girlfriend’s father, but fell off while trying to hold on to some dangling wires for support.

According to the police, Shoaib sustained fatal injuries to the head after falling off the fourth floor of the building and succumbing to the injuries. The unfortunate incident happened around 3 am, and Shoaib was rushed to Osmania Hospital, where he was declared dead at 5:30 am while undergoing treatment.

Shoaib's father, Mohammed Shoukat Ali, lodged a complaint with the police claiming foul play in his son’s death. He explained that his son, who worked in a bakery in the Borabanda locality, reached home around 1 am usually but hadn’t returned home on Monday.

Shoaib, who had allegedly gone to meet his girlfriend, fell from the terrace of the three-storey building, and it took about an hour for the family to become aware of the unfortunate incident. Shoukat Ali, along with his younger son Shahid and a relative Moiz, shifted Shoaib to Osmania Hospital, where a duty doctor declared him dead during treatment at approximately.

An urgent plea for appropriate action was made by Shoaib’s father. Based on his complaint, a case under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) has been filed. Further investigations are underway.
