Actor Kangana Ranaut has alleged that designer Masaba Gupta discouraged her from wearing her design during her visit to Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. In a detailed post on X (formerly twitter), Ranaut questioned why neither Gupta nor her brand (Masaba) shared or acknowledged images of her wearing the label, despite the pictures circulating widely online.

According to Ranaut, Masaba had initially sent clothes to her stylist for promotional appearances, but once informed that the outfit was intended for Ram Janmabhoomi, the designer allegedly asked the stylist not to let her wear the sari.

Ranaut claimed the stylist, embarrassed by the situation, discreetly conveyed the message and revealed she had already paid for the sari herself.

The actor said the incident deeply hurt her and described it as an example of prejudice within the fashion and film industries.

Ranaut added that while she has been blocked by several designers and stylists in the past, this episode affected her the most and still leaves her disturbed.
