Jacqueline Fernandez Appears Before ED In Delhi: Actor Jacqueline Fernandez today appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case. The case has links with Sukesh Chandrasekhar. The ED is investigating him in a Rs 200 crore extortion case.

The proceedings are taking place in the Delhi office of ED. The actor received a summon two days ago from the ED, earlier she was stopped at the Mumbai airport from leaving the country. A look-out circular was issued against her and she was briefly detained at the immigration. She was reportedly leaving for a show in Dubai. Following the lookout notice, a summon was issued to her to appear before the directorate in the national capital to join the probe. The authorities will record her statement in the case today.
ED revealed that she received gifts worth crores from Chandrashekhar. ED suspects that a huge amount of money extorted by Chandrashekhar found its way to the actor. Sources have also claimed that Chandrashekhar also booked a chartered flight for the actor from Mumbai to Chennai. The actor has so far maintained that she is a victim and will co-operate in the investigation with the authorities.
The ED filed the charge sheet against conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar in a special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court on Saturday. He is accused of running an extortion racket worth Rs 200 crore from the Rohini jail. He allegedly used high-end apps to extort money from government authorities. He allegedly bribed the jail authorities. Chandrashekhar's wife Leena Maria Paul has also been questioned in the case.
The charge sheet also mentioned Jacqueline Fernandez. She reportedly spoke on-call when he was in jail. There is also a viral image of Jacqueline and Sukesh Chandrashekhar, where the actor is kissing him on his cheek.
Another actor Nora Fatehi has also been reportedly mentioned in the charge sheet.
