Retired Indore Police Officer Rapes Minor, 11, Case Filed

The accused is the survivor's landlord, and he exploited the child when her parents were not at home. A case has been registered in Vijay Nagar police station of Indore.

Retired Police Officer in Indore rapes 11-year-old
In an alarming incident, a retired police officer allegedly raped an 11-year-old minor girl in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, as informed by police officials on Monday. The accused is said retired police personnel from the crime branch in the city.

The accused is the survivor's landlord, and he exploited the child when her parents were not at home. The incident occurred on Saturday, June 17. A case has been registered at Vijay Nagar police station of Indore.

Indore Police Officer Rapes Minor 

Charges under the Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 376 for sexual assault and the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) have been charged against the accused retired cop, said Additional Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sonakshi Saxena.

According to the reports, the accused has been identified as Nathuram Dubey who has recently retired from the post of sub-inspector at Indore the crime branch in Madhya Pradesh police.

The police have started the search operation to nab the accused police officer.

While a similar case from Tamil Nadu has also come up to the headlines a few days ago when a former Tamil Nadu cop was convicted on charges of sexually harassing a junior woman police officer. The junior officer reported the retired Director General of Police (DGP) was taking sexual advantage on duty while they were travelling. While SP Chengupta has been fined for trying to stop the woman IPS officer to lodge the complaint.
