Badaun 6 Arrested For Rape: The Uttar Pradesh Police arrested six people for allegedly raping a woman in Faizganj Police station area of Badaun. The woman was allegedly gangraped by a group of men.

An FIR has been registered based on survivor's complaint. All six accused have been arrested and the investigation is on, SSP Sankalp Sharma said, ANI reported.

This incident happened a week after another man was arrested in Badaun for allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman, NDTV reported. According to police, the woman was dragged to the fields on late Friday night and the man, who is in his 20s, allegedly raped her. She then went home and narrated the incident to her family members, who lodged a police complaint against him, police said.

Earlier this month, a 50-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped and brutalised in the Ughaiti area of Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district. The main accused in the alleged gangrape and murder of an Anganwadi worker, a priest of the temple along with two others were arrested. According to District Magistrate Kumar Prashant, the accused identified as Satya Narayan, and his disciples allegedly raped the woman when she had gone to visit a temple in her village to offer prayers on the evening of January 3 but never returned. The post-mortem reports confirmed that the woman sustained several injuries including broken ribs, fractured legs and her lungs were attacked with a heavy object. Her private parts were “severely brutalised,” sources said. An autopsy report also revealed that an iron rod was inserted into her private parts.
