UP Bride Faints: A bride in Uttar Pradesh’s Etawah refused to marry the groom on the wedding day. Reason? He showed up at the wedding wearing a wig because he was trying to hide his baldness. The incident took place in the Bharthana area of the Etawah district.
On the wedding day, the bride found out that the groom was wearing a wig to hide his baldness. It was during the garland exchange ceremony when she noticed that the groom was extra cautious and was adjusting his traditional headgear again and again.
Someone also told the bride that he was bald and wearing a wig on his head. Hearing this, the bride fainted on the stage. She regained consciousness after some time and refused to marry the groom. A lot of people tried to convince her but she was adamant. The baraat had to return, as per a report.
This is not the first time a bride has called off her wedding. A bride in Uttar Pradesh’s Auraiya district called off her marriage last year as she was upset by the groom’s behavior. The groom had reportedly thrown a garland during the varmala ceremony which irked the bride. Following this, an altercation broke out between the two families. People tried to convince the bride to marry but she was adamant and didn’t change her mind.
In another incident, a bride refused to get married to the groom when her groom decided to get drunk and do naagin dance at her wedding. This embarrassed the bride so much that she decided to ask the groom to return.
