French luxury brand known for revolutionising women's fashion post World War II specialising in haute couture and perfumes, Dior is a major part of the top luxury brand monopoly group, LVMH. Dior is making shifts by including people of different backgrounds as its global ambassadors promoting young talent all over the world.
On October 9, Dior announced its new face as a brand ambassador on its social media handles X and Instagram introducing the French star gymnast as its new brand ambassador who will also represent the brand and her country at the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024.
The brand announced on X that being part of the partnership of @Paris2024 and @LVHM, the group and its Maisons aim to give direct support to the athletes with exemplary journeys that make them 'Artisnas of all Victories.' The brand introduced its new face writing "Driven by the same values of audacity, creativity, and excellence, dear to Monsieur Christian Dior" introducing Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos.
The brand shared the look of Jesus Dos Santos in the photoshoot wearing the all-over Dior-printed collared outfit with Christian Dior's monogram hanging in front, with a book tote bag and Dior boots. The brand described the look on Instagram as "#DiorOblique hooded anorak, with a matching #DiorBookTote, and Diorebel boots designed by @MariaGraziaChiuri"
This is not the first time Jesus Dos Santos has connected with the House. In April this year, she also posed for the label in a photoshoot.
Who is Melanie De Jesus Dos Santos?
The 23-year-old Olympian is a four-time European champion born in Martinique, Carribean Island, France. Jesus dos Santos recently won a bronze at the world championship in Belgium breaking the chain of 63 years for the French artistic gymnast team.
De Jesus dos Santos is known for her elegant and graceful style of gymnastics. She is also a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in the sport. It is reported that she is the first gymnast to be chosen for as an ambassador for a company of this scale.
