  1. Khushi

After having several national and international medals, she made it to Golden Book of records. She performed the toughest Niraalamba Poorna Chakrasana 15 times in a mere span of one minute. Even the representatives were shocked watching her outstanding performance. The young girl wants to become a yoga teacher and aims to set more records.

  1. Tanushree Pitrody

The record-breaking performance of 8-year-old helped her to achieve Guinness Book World Records. The young girl made it to Guinness world records in the category of ‘One-minute miracle’. She performed ‘Niraalamba Poorna Chakrasana’ 19 times. She was merely three-and-a-half-year-old when she started dancing and today she has like 269 stage shows across the state to her credit. With her incredible efforts, she also has set a new Guinness record with 42 full-body revolutions in one minute.

  1. Harsha Nivetha

The 10-year-old has made it to Guinness Book of World Records. She performed the Utthitha Padmasana posture for 174 seconds. After setting the record, she asserts of how difficult it is to hold the position of that asana.

“I have been performing yoga from the age of five and though this posture is not difficult, holding it for a longer time is.” – Harsha Nivetha

  1. Army Officers

An all-women’s team of Indian Army officers scaled the mighty Mt Bhagirathi II and set a world record for performing yoga at an altitude of 19022 ft. The team of nine officers set this new record. The previous record for performing yoga was at about an altitude of 18,800 feet on the Siachen Glacier.

  1. 1,600 Pregnant Women

More than 1,600 pregnant women in Gujarat’s Rajkot city set up a new Guinness Book of world records by practising yoga on the occasion of International Yoga Day 2016. They broke the previous record held by China for 913 people.
