Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: American political commentator Candace Owens attacked the U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, famously known as AOC on Twitter.

This string of accusing tweets by Owens comes after the politician narrated her attempted murder on the Capitol Riot day in an Instagram live earlier this week.

Ocasio-Cortez said in her Instagram live that she had to hide in her office bathroom on the day of the riot. She thought that she was going to die when she heard a man in her office yelling, "Where is she?"

Later, she took to Twitter and wrote, " My story isn't the only story, nor is it the central story of what happened on Jan 6th."

However, Candace Owens accused Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of faking her own attempted murder. This was in reference to the experiences the politician had shared during her live about the Capitol Riots.

Prior to this tweet, Owens wrote in another one, " On a day in which #AlexandriaOcasioSmollett is trending, please never forget the time that @AOC staged a photo shoot dressed in all white at a parking lot to spread lies about immigrant children in cages." With this caption, she shared some pictures from the day when the Congresswoman visited the Tornillo detention facility in Texas.

Owens further shared more tweets claiming the photos of Ocasio-Cortez raising awareness of the treatment of migrant children in a "tent city" was "staged."

However, the former director of the United States Office of Government Ethics, Walter Shaub responded to this accusation in support of the Representative. He said in a tweet, "Here's a photo of @AOC and @MariaTeresa1 that I took with my own camera in Tornillo. This wasn't some random parking lot. This was the entrance to the Tornillo detention facility," sharing the picture.

He further told Owens to "retract the lie you're telling about AOC" and that she "should be ashamed for mocking the outrage over family separations and child torture."

Other accusations

In Instagram live, Ocasio-Cortez had also revealed that she is a sexual assault survivor. Referring to this, Owens continued in another thread of tweets and wrote, " Since #AlexandriaOcasioSmollett is trending, let us all be reminded of the time Ben Shapiro challenged her to a debate, and she falsely accused him 'cat-calling' her with 'bad intentions'."

Further, she added "How many men has @AOC falsely accused of heinous acts against her? She seems disturbed."

Only last month, a man from Texas was charged with participating in the Capitol riot and sending a death threat to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. A New York man was also charged after allegedly calling for the "public execution" of lawmakers including Ocasio-Cortez the very same month.
