Bhoot Police Cast: Horror Comedy Bhoot Police is all set to hit digital screens of Disney+ Hotstar. The movie, which promises laughs and jump scares, is scheduled to hit the big screens this year.

The makers of the film along with Kareena Kapoor Khan shared Saif Ali Khan’s first look from the film on Monday. The film is directed by Pawan Kirpalani and produced by Ramesh S. Taurani and Akshai Puri. The poster of the film was released in late February. The film stars Arjun Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam in lead roles. The film also has Javed Jafferi in a supporting role.

The film has an ensemble cast and is making headlines since its announcement. Here is all we know about the cast of Bhoot Police.

Saif Ali Khan As Vibhooti

Kareena Kapoor took to Twitter to release her husband, Saif Ali Khan’s first look. The poster features Khan donning a leather jacket with a ghost-ridding locket. He is also holding an unusual weapon.

The movie will mark Saif’s first collaboration with Arjun Kapoor and Yami Gautam. His character in the movie is called Vibhooti, according to Kareena Kapoor’ post on Instagram.  “ Don't fear the paranormal and feel 'Saif' with VIBHOOTI,” Kapoor captioned the poster.

“I am pleased to have Saif and Arjun come together for this entertaining feature,” Kriplani said of working with Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor to The Indian Express. “Both of them will be featured in this film bringing their trademark sense of humour to the fresh new avatars they will play,” added Kriplani.

Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam took to Instagram to share the news of the completion of shooting for the film. She was seen cutting a cake to celebrate the occasion as she tagged her co-stars of the film. Meanwhile, Jacqueline later responded to the post stating that they still have one more scene to shoot.

Aside from the horror-comedy, Yami will star in A Thursday, a thriller produced by RSVP Movies and Blue Monkey Films, and directed by Ronnie Screwvala. The actor was in news recently for an ED summon against her involvement in a money laundering case. Gautam will also be seen in the upcoming movie Dasvi, in which she plays the role of Bimla Devi.

Jacqueline Fernandez

While Jacqueline has worked with Saif Ali Khan earlier in Race 2, she will be collaborating with Arjun Kapoor and Yami Gautam for the first time in Bhoot Police. During the shooting in Dalhousie, the actor told Mumbai Mirror that her character "super sexy and glam"

Arjun Kapoor

According to reports, Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan will be playing the characters of two brothers, whose differences of opinion land them in mysterious situations. Kapoor also stated that the movie will have elements of Stree and Go Goa Gone. Furthermore, the actor believes that the story is "character-driven" rather than "itemised," and that it contains its own "goofiness" that the audience would love.

Changed Cast Of Bhoot Police

In 2019, the movie was announced with a cast comprising Saif Ali Khan, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh. However, in 2020, the makers introduced a changed new cast including Arjun Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Fatima reacted to the replacement stating that the film switched production houses, leading to the change. "Initially, it was with Fox Star Hindi and now it's with another production house (Ramesh Taurani's Tips). So, that was a massive change. Things are not that big and I am not upset,” Fatima was quoted in the DNA report.

The shoot of the film, which began in November,  was completed on February 5. The cast flew down to shoot in locations such as Jaisalmer and Dharamshala.
