Demanding justice for his 21-year-old daughter, Moolchand Tomar said that he wants the men accused in her murder case to be hanged. Tomar’s daughter, a college student, was reportedly shot dead by a stalker in broad daylight on October 26 (Monday) in Faridabad district. Haryana police arrested three accused in the case.

I want the accused to be hanged. I trust the judicial system of our country but it also depends on the handling of the case,” the deceased student’s father told ANI. He further added that since there is CCTV footage of the incident and the accused have confessed their crime, there is no reason for the delay.

All the three accused were arrested from Nuh district for allegedly killing the woman outside her college in Ballabhgarh, said Faridabad Police. The main accused, identified as Touseef, has confessed to the crime. His accomplices Rehan and Ajru have also been arrested. Reportedly, Touseef and Rehan had approached the woman with the intention of kidnapping her, armed with a country-made gun provided to the accused by Ajru.

Ballabhgarh woman wanted to get into civil service, says her mother

The deceased Balalbgarh college student’s mother Vijayawati Tomar said, “Our daughter was very bright. He killed her because he knew he couldn’t force her to convert to Islam… She wanted to become a government officer, had plans to appear for the civil services,” ThePrint reported.

Touseef Ahmed, a resident of Kabir Nagar in Sohna, was arrested on Monday, five hours after the crime.

As per news reports, just two days before the incident, the accused visited the college to meet the deceased student. He and his friends were also spotted at the institute talking to some unidentified students, revealed CCTV footage from last week, TOI reported. Touseef has reportedly confessed during his interrogation that he liked the woman from school days and wanted to marry her. But she did not respond to his calls or messages, and thus he decided to “teach her a lesson”.

The student’s family alleged that he has been stalking her since 2018. He had tried to abduct her two years back as well, as per reports. “In 2018, Tauseef had kidnapped the girl. However, the complaint was later withdrawn by the girl’s family,” ACP Anil Kumar told ThePrint.

Her mother revealed that they had to withdraw the complaint after Touseef’s family “pleaded and begged” them. “We had complained about the boy in 2018 for harassing our daughter. He had been after her life since then, but withdrew the complaint after Ahmed’s family begged us and told us that it won’t happen again,” said Nikita’s father, Moolchand Tomar, who works with a private company.
