Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma are expecting their first child in January 2021. Announcing the good news on Twitter, the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actress wrote: "And then, we were three! Arriving Jan 2021."
In the picture, the couple sported a happy face with Anushka flaunting her baby bump as she stands next to Virat. Soon the film industry started pouring congratulatory wishes to the couple. Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Dia Mirza dropped heart emojis in the comments section. “Congratsss stunners,” Parineeti Chopra wrote. Several other stars including Taapsee Pannu, Sanya Malhotra, Kiara Advani and Pooja Hegde have also sent best wishes. People from the sports fraternity, including KL Rahul and Sania Mirza, also wished her.
Virat too shared the same picture and news on Twitter with his fans. Ready to welcome the baby into the family, the couple also announced the arrival of their bundle of joy on Instagram, Anushka looked stunning in a black and white polka dot dress with her husband smiling next to her.

Virat and Anushka tied the knot in December 2017. The cricketer is currently in UAE, quarantined, to participate in IPL 2020. For a very long time, Anushka has been dealing with rumours of her pregnancy. Responding to the pregnancy talks, she had told Filmfare last year, "Yeah. If you’re married then people ask, is she pregnant? They love to read into something when there really isn’t anything," TOI reported.

Anushka was last seen on the big screen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero. Since then, she has become produced Amazon Prime Video series Paatal Lok and Netflix film Bulbbul.
The couple - famously called as Virushka - has been spending quality time in lockdown since March this year. From giving a haircut to her husband, playing monopoly, baking a cake to goofing around with her pet dog, Anushka has been enjoying every moment with her family during this time. They were spending the lockdown in their Alibaug bungalow, according to sources.
